Conditions we treat
Placeholder
Back pain
Assessment and rehab for acute flare-ups, persistent pain, stiffness and activity limits.
We focus on likely drivers (load tolerance, movement, sleep, stress, work/sport demands) and build a plan to reduce flare-ups and restore capacity.
Neck pain
Care for neck stiffness, postural strain, referred pain and headache-related neck drivers.
We assess cervical/thoracic mobility, irritability and endurance, then target the factors most likely to matter for symptoms and day-to-day function.
Disc injuries
Guided recovery for disc-related back pain, with or without leg symptoms.
We match the plan to irritability, neurological signs and tolerance, then progress from symptom control to rebuilding strength, capacity and confidence.
Sports injuries
Targeted care for training-related pain, acute strains and recurring niggles that limit performance.
We assess load tolerance, strength and movement, then build a return-to-training plan that progresses capacity without repeated flare-ups.
Concussion
Support for persistent post-concussion symptoms with a structured, systems-based approach.
We screen key symptom domains (cervical, vestibular/oculomotor, exertional tolerance) and build a graded plan to restore function and return to activity.
Vertigo
Assessment for common vestibular causes (including BPPV) and tailored management strategies.
We differentiate likely vestibular drivers, screen red flags, and (where appropriate) use repositioning manoeuvres and graded rehab.
Dysautonomia
Support for symptoms linked to autonomic dysfunction, including dizziness, fatigue and exercise intolerance.
We assess likely contributors (e.g., cervical, vestibular and exertional tolerance factors) and coordinate a graded plan to build capacity safely.
Essendon Chiropractic care with the right kind of difference
We know you have a lot of options when it comes to choosing a health professional.
If you want to work with people who will take your health as seriously as you do, we can help.
Dr Hayden Mackenzie, Chiropractor
In addition to his 5-year Chiropractic studies at RMIT University, Hayden has completed extensive post-graduate training in neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation, pain science and sports injury management.
He prides himself on 3 things in the treatment room - the ability to provide an uncommonly thorough examination to understand your injury; in-depth knowledge of how the body recovers from injury and the many ways to help it; and an ability to put complex concepts into plain english so that you can understand what’s happening.
We understand that injury isn’t just about feeling sore - it’s the frustration of not being able to work or play sport, get a good night’s sleep and enjoy your free time.
